That Firetail BP was a 1 run copy. The LP store BPs for ships are just 1 run copies. They need to document a little better, true, but you didn't "lose" anything. th "30" you saw may have been the Production Limit, which is a limit on how many runs...

When the Eve servers are taken offline for downtime (or crashes) the client will not be able to connect and give the same error that you'd get if your internet connection went down. The Eve client cannot "see" the Eve server, so it says Status Unk...
